The 2022 Open Day

This year the Open Day at the University of Warsaw will take place on 23rd April. On the UW campus at Krakowskie Przedmieście Street anyone interested in the educational offer of the UW will have an opportunity to meet and talk to representatives of each faculty, student organisation or administrative office.

Each year the University of Warsaw organises the Open Day for the students-to-be. Candidates are presented the UW study programmes and admission procedures at special information stands prepared by faculties and departments, student organisations and administration. The Admissions Office can be approached for quite detailed inquiries about recruitment procedures. Representatives of the UW Students’ Union and student research groups are available to meet, exchange opinions and share experience. Administration staff as well as students who cooperate with the UW Volunteer Centre are open to talk about their volunteer activities and initiatives.

The onsite event is held on 23rd April (Saturday) between 10.00 and 16.00 on the UW campus, 26/28 Krakowskie Przedmieście Street.

The Ochota Campus Discovery Day

Those interested in exact and natural sciences can take part in the Ochota Campus Discovery Day (DOKO). The event is an opportunity to follow engaging lectures and effective presentations, conduct scientific experiments and visit professional laboratories.

The DOKO is a cyclical joint initiative of the UW faculties of: BiologyChemistryPhysicsGeologyMathematics, Informatics and Mechanics, as well as the Biological and Chemical Research Centre, the Centre of New Technologies, the Inter-Faculty Individual Studies on Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MISMaP) College, the Heavy Ion Laboratory at the University of Warsaw, and the University Centre for Environmental Studies and Sustainable Development.

The event will take place on 11th June (Saturday) at 11.00 on the Ochota Campus at 93 Żwirki i Wigury Street. The meeting will be held onsite this year.

Admission procedures

Candidates interested in undertaking the first-cycle, long-cycle or second-cycle studies at the University of Warsaw in the 2022/2023 academic year are presented the educational offer, admission rules and application deadlines in the Internet Recruitment of Candidates (IRK) system.

International candidates and candidates holding foreign high school/ higher education diploma can follow the step-by-step presentation about the admission procedures on the UW YouTube channel >>.

The recruitment procedures for first- and long-cycle full-time programmes start on 6th June and last until 5th July. The registration is open via the Internet Recruitment of Candidates (IRK) system.

Free entrance. For security reasons, participants should bring their ID cards or passports.

Survey from the UniSAFE project

The University of Warsaw takes part in the international research project UniSAFE, as part of which a survey on gender-based violence is conducted at https://unisafe-gbv.eu/community/ at several dozen universities and research institutes in Europe.

The UniSAFE project (link) https://unisafe-gbv.eu/the-project/ is a large-scale research project to obtain large-scale data that will be used to develop institutional solutions useful to academic communities in the field of combating sexual harassment and gender-based violence.

The survey is anonymous.

The results of the study will be used by the University of Warsaw to better diagnose problems related to our university community and will be very useful in formulating and development of university equality and anti-discrimination policies.

The results of the study can be used to strengthen security, safety and better communication at the university and will be useful in the long term to all people working and studying at the University of Warsaw.
