The University Centre for Environmental Studies and Sustainable Development (UCBS) at the University of Warsaw (UW) is launching new MSc Course on Sustainable Development.
The guiding idea is an education in the interdisciplinary field of Sustainable Development (SD). This reflects the organization of the educational process based on a harmonious involvement under the chairmanship and involvement of UCBS and eight other units of the UW. The following University’s faculties take part in the preparation of the new field of study: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography and Regional Studies, Geology, Economic Sciences, Law and Administration and the Faculty of Management. SD studies offer integrated knowledge, its broad but in-depth understanding in various areas of science. Knowledge, skills and social competences passed during the studies support the shaping of an individual view of the world, building an open and critical attitude to the changing reality.
Students of the Master Programme on Sustainable Development will gain holistic interdisciplinary “know-how” and ability to coach transition towards sustainability whenever they will work in future.
The SD studies will be conducted in English language. This second degree programme will be free of charge for non-EU students for the first recruitment of candidates in 2019.
We invited all interested in studying to contact with: ucbs@uw.edu.pl. More information at: http://ucbs.uw.edu.pl/en/ and in the IRK system: https://irk.oferta.uw.edu.pl/en-gb/offer/PELNE2019/programme/S2-SD/?from=field:P_SD.
